Gold Coast Turf Club turns local podcast OFF THE RAILZ into a 30-minute radio show with a leading sports broadcaster.
Gold Coast Turf Club (GCTC) announced today after signing a partnership with Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) to amplify the Club’s podcast audience from the local members and Gold Coast racing fraternity to a whole new national audience.
Commencing the 4th of June and airing weekly on Friday mornings (10.00am) OFF THE RAILZ podcast will be a 30-minute radio show to be heard on SEN National Racing radio network SENTrack, as well as SEN Gold Coast.
OFF THE RAILZ hosts Blair ‘Gibbo’ Gibson, as the Club’s resident tipster, Sally Mallyon, wife of local jockey and avid racing fashion enthusiast and Ian Brown, Racing Manager of Gold Coast and Beaudesert racetracks. The team will be joined by racing identities and will chat everything racing, membership news, special events and carnival recaps. Showcasing the best Gold Coast racing and precinct has to offer.
GCTC CEO Steve Lines said SEN’s plans for Queensland are very exciting and we love that they want to take our relatively new podcast and turn it into a radio show. “We launched the series as a new platform for our members to engage with the Club, during 2020 we had many updates and announcements regarding the racing and different restrictions. At one stage we were getting to daily communications, so we thought let’s step out of our comfort zone and try to get these important messages across in a light-hearted and educating manner. This new partnership with SEN will only ensure the Club grows from strength to strength and gains a whole new herd of followers both online and on-air!”
In addition to this radio show, CEO Steve Lines will feature in Joel & Fletch drive show for a new segment. Joel and Fletch will challenge Steve Lines each week in a little tipping competition called Joel & Fletch Versus Steve.
Steve will be invited on to have a bet on the Gold Coast races for the upcoming weekend. Each week the lads will need to tip 3 horses each, where their horses place will determine their score.
The one who picks the best winners during the game, becomes the winner at the end of the game. Playing for $3,000, Winner to take all for the charity of their choice. Plus A Day at the Gold Coast Turf Club with Fletch for 10 lucky listeners!
Sports Entertainment Network CEO Craig Hutchison said we are really excited to begin this partnership with the Gold Coast, we’ll be throwing everything behind the campaign.
“We are rapt to continue committing to Queensland-based content and connecting differently to Queensland racing fans.”
Fans will never miss a beat as you can download replays of all shows available via the (SEN) app and website.
