  • Race 2

Gold Coast Turf Club – Saturday 12th September

    #7 DUCHESS DIFFICULT

Looks a two-horse race with CARDONETTE who has placed in all four runs. Had chances in those runs and I was burnt, so I am looking at the Hoysted horse instead. DUCHESS DIFFICULT (who might be named after my daughter’s) was very good on debut and then a bit plain at second career run. Has won two trials in good fashion and blinkers go on here for the first time. She reacted well to them in a recent trial and I’m sure she looks the winner for a long way. Could play the 5,7 Quinella as another option.

  • Race 5

Gold Coast Turf Club – Saturday 12th September

    #6 TORQUE SO HOT

A lot of questions in this race so I want to go with one I half trust. He sat off them over 1200m in Grafton and run away from them in a weak maiden. Went to a CL1 at the same track and didn’t run the 1400m out. Freshened up for this and back to 1200m suits. Not brimming with confidence but I think he runs well for a stable in very good form.

  • Race 6

Gold Coast Turf Club – Saturday 12th September

    #2 MISHANI WITNESS (best bet)

Looks the best of the day and just has to run out a strong 1800m. The win at Ipswich over 1666m two runs back was dominant and a good pointer for this. Then went to a no metro win race in town and was solid after getting way too far back (3rd best L200m of the race). If the apprentice gives it a good ride I think it will win. Ran 3rd behind a handy one at only start this track.
