All Members and Function Areas

Modest and tailored tops and bottoms, including skirts or trousers (mid to lower thigh length). Dresses with partial cutouts accepted (midi to maxi length), clean sandals or heels allowed.

WHAT TO WEAR

There’s nothing quite like the fashion and glamour that comes with a day at the races!

The Gold Coast Turf Club has specific dress regulations for the members, function and public areas. Please view below before attending. Access will not be granted if you fail to adhere to dress code.

Public Areas

Minimum respectable dress standards are required for general admission. Footwear must be worn at all times. Dress t-shirts, collared shirts, jumpers, and jeans are acceptable attire in our public areas.

  • Race 1

    Gold Coast Turf Club – Friday 28th August

    #1 IRON BULL (if $15+) 

    Longshot: Confidence is not high but it is very hard to make a case for many here. Just feel the further they go the more it will suit this bloke. Stop start race didn’t suit on debut and can improve off the experience. They can’t go back to last though and that’s my query. If they get to last it will be mission impossible.

  • Race 2

    Gold Coast Turf Club – Friday 28th August

    #3 PIERATA’S SPIRIT 

    Trialled up well last prep but just a run on debut and bit weak late. Recent trial was looking good but the vision runs out on the home corner on Racing Qld website. Makes it a bit tough to be confident but looks a promising one in the making for Tony Gollan. SNITZSTREAM might be the main danger but has the wide gate.

  • Race 3

    Gold Coast Turf Club – Friday 28th August

    #12 XPLAIN THIS  

    (Assuming the emergencies don’t get a run, cause a few of them go well.) 

    Don’t think this will be the best horse out of the race, but I love the fact it has the race experience on her side. The horse that beat her on debut has run well since. They will be aggressive from the good gate and be right on speed. If it helps to be leading, she will lead for a long way. Best of those making their debut looks to be #10 STEVIE’S SPIRIT. Has trialled well and would like to make it a winning result too if prices allowed.
