Ahrens unveils Summer contender with Kerchak

Gold Coast trainer Ben Ahrens is weighing up Summer Carnival options for stable star KERCHAK as he chases a third successive victory this weekend.

Following on from his dominant win in the Mooloolaba Cup, KERCHAK will step up to 2000m on Saturday as Ahrens looks towards the Shoot Out as a potential qualifier for the Magic Millions Subzero on January 11.
